Just another night at Denny's

As a frequent patron at my neighborhood "Denny's" restaurant. I keep up on all of the low level diner gossip.  I know the Santa Monica Denny's like nobody's business.
What to order. Where to sit. Who's banging who.
I can tell you when the busboy takes a shit. (9:41pm)

But I did learn a new little tidbit when I was chatting with the host tonight.

This Santa Monica location is known as the "Weird Denny's."

How exciting!  With the "Norms Diner" across the street being closed and recently "tagged" by the local gangs. (see their roof) The Santa Monica Denny's is the new hotspot for all things strange.

We sat in the back booth, grabbed a menu and tuned in my super sensitive "Werewolf Hearing" and caught up on what was going on in the dining room of the gods.

Here's the rundown .....

*4 foreigners making another girl sing at their table for some sort of "audition."

*an AA group, having their meeting and loudly calling one guy gay.

*a Mexican family letting their cell phones ring on full blast, not sure how to silence them.
(3 or 4 cell phones ringing at once, with annoying accordion ring tones)

*a low level pro wrestler, sitting in the booth by himself ... sexting someone.

*homeless dude, enjoying his 17th refill on his cup of coffee.

*some sort of group that plays board games, with 6 different games set up on the tables.

*some guy doing his taxes and sorting out his junk mail, whole table is covered in envelopes and coupons.

*a c-list comedian sitting in the back booth, eating nachos and exaggerating wild behavior at Denny's.
