Chicago / Wisconsin trip

I got back to the midwest for a few days for my cousin Tyson's wedding.  Had a good time seeing the ol friends and family.  Here are a few pictures that I'm sure you wont care about!

Me and my sister.
Dad reaches for a drink, wearing one of his many "wacky" t-shirts.

Cruised by Miller Park in Milwaukee.

My house in Chicago from 2000 to 2003.
I had 2 roommates, "Creature" and "Puss Lips"

Sitting on the porch like a weirdo.
I used to work at the United Center.
A lot of fond memories, like my car getting booted in the parking lot.

Skyline Comedy Cafe, Appleton, WI, 7/27

Special thanks to Cliff and the gang at the Skyline Comedy Cafe in Appleton, WI.  I performed on a great show with Headliner Pete Lee. The audience was great and it was a sold out crowd. Definitely one of the best comedy clubs in the country.

Before the show as the crowd come's in.

Ryan Quick, Jesse Corry, myself and Ryan "Duncan" Hilson hang in the Skyline lobby.

"Appetite for Destruction" tribute at the Viper Room

This past weekend was the 25th Anniversary of the release of "Appetite for Destruction."  So I went out to check out a "Tribute to Appetite" show at the Viper Room on Sunset.
I assumed the place would be full of GNR fans, the usual types that I see at the "Tribute Band" concerts. So I put on my denim "GNR Vest" with a  head band and headed out the door.

Randy Orton's favorite place.

What I didn't realize that the show wasn't a "tribute band" but more of a "tribute to the band".  So the band playing was a little younger and hipper than the usual vibe I was used to. Their would be no "fake Axl" and no "fake Slash." So basically I looked like a complete moron with my vest and headband on hanging out with a bunch of people in their early 20's that only know 3 GNR songs.  But I have enough GNR street cred to rock on with confidence.

Embarrassment sold separately.
The show actually kicked ass.  They played the whole "Appetite" album and had a rotating cast of lead singers taking turns on a few songs each. After they went through the whole album they went into some ACDC, Zepplin and others.  They ended up taking requests at the end of the night and played well past the Viper Room's curfew.  One person that was great to see at the concert was Colby, the lead singer of the GNR tribute band "Hollywood Rose."  He hopped up on stage and sang "Sweet Child of Mine", "Your Crazy" and "Anything Goes" with the band, bringing his "fake Axl" vibe that I always love.  His band will be back in town next month.  I saw them on my birthday at "The Whiskey" earlier this July and they ruled.  You can usually see Colby rocking it out on stage, or at the Cheeseburger stand after the show.

Colby from "Hollywood Rose" doing the heavy lifting.
Then he's gonna lift some cheeseburgers.

Near the end of the show, all of the singers got up on stage and shared the mic, belting out tunes like "Rebel Yell", "Crazy Train" and other classics.
"Lead Singer's Disease", times 10!

During the show they had an on-going slide show of classic pictures of GNR.
"Hey, down in front!" "I'm trying to watch the slideshow"
If you ever get a chance to see a GNR tribute, or a GNR tribute band, don't pass it up.  It may seem corny but its a great time and it's cool to see the way that all of those classic songs hold up to this day and how they have affected so many people through the years.  On average I hear about 7 GNR songs a day and I, like most fans agree,  it never gets old!

Santa Monica Sunset

We had a pretty cool sunset the other day. A lot of people were out in the streets checking it out.  It was a perfect mix of smog and air pollution to create quite the view for people near the ocean.

"Wish you were here" ..... not really.

 "ACID RAINbow"
They filmed "Predator" on my street.

This is one show that Fred Willard wouldn't want to miss!
Tokyo Garden is one of our favorite places to perform so I'm sure we will be back there this Fall!

Slash get's a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

This past Tuesday, Slash got a star on the Hollywood Walk of fame. I didn't get to attend the event, because I had to work.
I missed the ceremony, yet unemployed morons and homeless people get a front row seat!  Who the hell schedules something so important for a Tuesday morning? Now I gotta lug myself into the armpit of Hollywood some night this week to go take pictures of the ground before some bum turns it into a urinal.  ...  The pictures will be posted soon.

Slash celebrates his star with old white dudes.
A few of Slash's friends were on hand for the ceremony, including 3 people that should be dead by now, Charlie Sheen, Robert Evans, and Steven Adler.  Sheen made a few cracks at Axl Rose's expense and in a TMZ video, Slash can be seen laughing.  Which is unusual, because although Slash has had his differences with Axl in the past, he usually is not too expressive when people take shots at Rose. It's kind of like when people make fun of the group of loons that I hang out with.  Nobody can make fun of them but me!  Either way, the bond of the original 5 GNR members holds strong, and nobody can change that.  I'm happy to have another piece of cool piece of Rock N Roll history to check out.  Slash works super hard and keeps coming out with great albums. There is a lot more to him than just his work in "Guns N Roses".  Make sure to keep your eyes out for the movie he produced "Nothing to Fear" which just wrapped filming earlier this month.

"The Jizzmaster part 2" - pics from the set!

Shooting began on my new film "The Jizzmaster Part 2" this past weekend.  Here are some pics from the set.  We shot all day and night 6/30 and 7/1.

We had a great group of guys for the opening Basketball scene.

On the set of the "Jizzmasters" house.

My friends from Wisconsin dropped by while we were shooting.

Jaguar and Feather relax between takes.

Gary Dubin offers up a "Jizz toast" to the crew for all of their hard work.

We had a great time with the Basketball crew.

Chris Westlund and Nicola Graham.

Scott Anthony Simmons and myself.
Scott plays a special type of "Dr." in the movie.

KP dropped by to hang on the set.
I wish we had more pictures to share of our great cast and crew. There is plenty more to be seen, with a lot of great actors and hilarious scenes that only "The Jizzmaster" can provide!  We should be having a premiere this Fall!
