Candlestick Park vs Levi Stadium - Niners vs Chiefs!

I love 49ers football, but I miss Candlestick Park. Not because of how great the old stadium was, but because I don't have season tickets to the new one. Levi Stadium opened in Santa Clara this season and to my own fault my cheap ass didn't pull the trigger on season tickets. But I did catch a game there last week and took some photos.

Here's the rundown on the new home of the 49ers, Levi Stadium.

Candlestick park held about 69,000 people. Levi Stadium holds about 68,000.
But keep in mind that is about a thousand less gang bangers you have to deal with.

The team store is huge and inside there were tons of people.
Packed with everything a 49er fan could want.
All I could think was, "I bet one person in here has Ebola"

The giant Kaepernick picture .. to keep you distracted
while you spend 20 bucks for a Niners coffee mug.

The 49ers Gold rush cheerleaders were out prancing around and posing for photos.
Giving old people one more thing to scratch off their bucket list.

Before the game.
One of the better things about Levi stadium is that the walkways around are much wider. The Candlestick walkway was packed and you were guaranteed to get beer spilled on you.

Plenty of TV's everywhere too.

Looking east from the stadium it overlooks the 49ers practice facility.
Another major improvement is the new video board which blasted Van Halen's "Right Now" in the 4th Quarter.

Niners Win! Time for free tacos!
